Helen is a member of a small, elite group of attorneys who achieve the Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Rating. This peer-review designation recognizes an attorney's strong legal ability, high ethical standards and professional excellence. She receives five out of five stars from Martindale-Hubbell, an information services company to the legal profession that was founded in 1868. 

Helen has been selected to the Northern California Super Lawyers list multiple times since 2005. This is an honor recognizing the top 5 percent of attorneys in their field who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

She is a recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, an honor reserved for individuals who have demonstrated leadership, excellence and longevity within their respective professions. 

The State Bar of California, Bar Association of San Francisco and Asian American Bar Association have bestowed Helen with honors and recognition for her numerous pro bono work. 

For her decades of community services, she received a Lifetime Achievement Award in Community Service from the Chinese Culture Foundation.

Helen is a University of California Hastings College of Law alumna.  She was admitted to the practice by the Supreme Court of California and the United States Bar in 1975. 

A bilingual and bicultural first-generation Chinese American, Helen speaks and writes fluent Cantonese and Mandarin.
